Sorcha Luckie
- Experience
Sorcha joined the Utilities Team as a Paralegal in April 2022 based in our Ipswich office. Since September 2023 she has started the Graduate Solicitor Apprenticeship in order to achieve her aspiration of qualifying as a Solicitor.
Sorcha works closely with Utility providers and developers providing a comprehensive understanding of the essential aspects of land right utility transactions. These include the following documents for electricity substations, gas governors, fibre cabinets and water pumping stations:
- freehold and leasehold acquisitions of operational land;
- deeds of easement; and
- variations and surrenders.
As a team we specialise in high-volume, time-critical property transactions advising IDNO’s (Independent Distribution Network Operators), gas transporters, fibre providers and water incumbents. We understand the pressure to deliver connections on time and amid increasing regulation and intense competitive pressure.
As part of the team Sorcha provides full support and assistance to our clients to ensure their interests are always protected and the transactions move efficiently to complete within the projected timescales, whilst maintaining consistent communication throughout to keep our clients well informed.
Outside of work, Sorcha enjoys going to the gym, reading and travelling to new places.
