Tom qualified as a Solicitor in 2013, joined Birketts in 2015 and is now a Partner in our Agriculture and Estates Team.
Prior to joining Birketts, Tom trained and worked at a top City law firm.
Tom advises farmers, landowners and agri-businesses in connection with a wide variety of matters, including acquisitions and sales of farms and estates, renewable energy projects and issues surrounding agricultural tenancies. Tom specialises particularly in advising on farming partnership agreements, succession planning and structuring.
Tom is the Chairman of the Suffolk Committee of the Game & Wildlife Conservation Trust. He is also a fellow of the Agricultural Law Association.
Tom grew up in Suffolk, studied law at Cambridge University and completed his Legal Practice Course at the BPP Law School in Holborn, London.
Tom is a really clever guy and is sensible. He understands the ins and outs of everything and is great at drafting. Tom has a good depth of knowledge and is a sharp operator.
