Our Experience

2024 to Present – Asset and property management company

We are undertaking a portfolio review for an asset and property management company that deals with blocks of residential accommodation let on assured shorthold tenancies. We’ve crafted bespoke documentation to streamline processes, ensuring consistency and efficiency across the portfolio. Additionally, we have tailored tenancy documentation for future lettings and provided strategic advice on the potential impact of the Renters’ Rights Bill.

2021 to 2023 – Corporate residential landlord

We represented a corporate landlord through a challenging possession claim, successfully securing vacant possession. The tenant, representing themselves, raised a baseless disrepair counterclaim and withheld rent resulting in several court hearings taking place. We obtained a possession order and an order for costs, which were enforced via bailiffs, ensuring resolution for our client.

2021 to 2022 – Private residential tenant

We represented three tenants and a third party (who paid the deposit) in a compensation claim against a landlord and letting agent for failing to comply with s.213 of the Housing Act 2004. Our efforts led to a successful claim, with the landlord and agent being required to compensate the tenants for not registering the deposit within 30 days of receipt.
