Equality, Diversity and Inclusion

Why choose this course?

Our flagship ED & I course, in which we look to bring the Equality Act 2010 to life for managers or other employees.

This course is highly interactive and uses case studies developed in light of our experiences advising clients on all aspects of discrimination law. Alongside the legal content and detailed case studies (adapted for your organisation) the course also looks at how bias and micro-aggressions may undermine efforts to build true workplace inclusion.

Course Content

  • The Equality Act (the Legal Framework)
  • Understanding who is protected: a focus on the “protected characteristics” and the concept of intersectionality
  • Defining the boundaries between acceptable and unacceptable workplace behaviour
  • Understanding workplace harassment
  • Understanding the unique protections afforded to disabled employees
  • Recognising and addressing bias in decision making
  • Understanding what microaggressions are and their impact

Explanations were very clear
and the examples helped me to
translate the knowledge into real,
life like situations.
