Sam qualified as a Solicitor in 2010 and joined Birketts in 2014. He is a Partner in the Employment Team and leads our Shaping Excellence training division.
Sam advises large companies, SMEs, charities and senior executives on all aspects of employment law including representing clients in Employment Tribunal claims. Sam has particular experience in advising on collective redundancy exercises and multi-claim Employment Tribunal litigation. Sam has wide experience advising clients in the Food and Beverage sector, Transport and Logistics sector, Social Housing sector and Engineering and Manufacturing sectors.
During his time at Birketts, Sam has developed the Shaping Excellence training division that delivers legal training to clients on all aspects of employment law and overseas training delivery and development within other disciplines across the firm.
In other roles, Sam is a Director of the Employment Lawyers Association, Chair of Governors at Ashleigh Primary School and provides pro-bono advice for the Norfolk Community Law Service.

Advising a unionised multi-site manufacturing client on the collective consultation requirements for changing shift times and reducing headcount.
Developing and delivering a tailored training plan for a national food producer on all aspects of employment law.
Advising on a complicated employment tribunal claim acting for a company and individual respondent on claims of discrimination and unfair dismissal brought by an employee who was also a director and shareholder.
