Kye Strowbridge

Kye is a Trainee Solicitor currently in his first seat in the Charities Team.  In this seat Kye assists members of the team on a broad range of matters, including registering new charities, making applications to the Charity Commission, carrying out governance reviews, restructuring existing charities (including incorporations, mergers, and dissolutions) and updating governance arrangements of existing charities. Kye also assists with academy conversions and re-brokerings.

Prior to Kye starting his training contract, Kye was a Paralegal in our Corporate Team from October 2021.  In this role Kye assisted the team with a wide range of corporate matters, including acquisitions and disposal, restructurings and investments round, Kye has also assisted the Banking Team with various refinance. Kye was also the main Paralegal for independent legal advice on personal guarantees.

With regard to education, Kye graduated from the University of Essex in July 2019 with a degree in Law.  Kye then studied his Legal Practice Course (LPC LLM) at the University of Law, and graduated with a Distinction, whilst working at Birketts full-time.  During his LPC LLM, Kye completed electives in Employment Law, Merger’s and Acquisitions Law, Immigration Law and Personal Injury and Clinical Negligence Law.  Kye also completed his LLM in Family law, focusing on the introduction of No Fault Divorce

Outside of the office, Kye is a keen baker and enjoys reading, going to the gym and generally keeping fit.
