Nick is a Partner in Birketts’ corporate team, based in Cambridge. With over 15 years’ experience, Nick advises on a wide range of corporate transactions, with a particular focus on advising venture capital investors, growth companies and founders on early-stage and Series funding rounds and exits.
Nick is recognised for his pragmatic and commercial approach, supporting both investors and entrepreneurs with clarity and precision. His work spans the full lifecycle of venture financing, from initial structuring and term sheet negotiation to shareholder arrangements and post-investment governance.
Before qualifying as a solicitor, Nick studied engineering at Durham University and worked in in industry. This foundation gives him a strong understanding of the businesses he advises, particularly in emerging areas such as artificial intelligence and digital health.
