Birketts advised SDI Group plc on the acquisition of Fraser Anti-Static Techniques Limited

Birketts has advised SDI Group plc (SDI Group) on its acquisition of Fraser Anti-Static Techniques Limited (Fraser) in a deal estimated at approximately £16.9m.
Supporting businesses around the world, the AIM quoted SDI Group designs and manufactures scientific and technology products for use by the life science, healthcare, astronomy, consumer manufacturing and art conservation sectors. Its portfolio of brands help make huge strides in a number of industries, from supporting DNA and protein analysis, to enabling deep-sky astronomy imaging.
Fraser is a leading UK manufacturer of anti-static products which eliminate, clean, generate or measure static electricity in a variety of industries including plastics, packaging, printing, food processing, medical and pharma. Fraser, which joins SDI Group’s Sensors and Controls division, operates from sites in Brampton, Devon and Bristol, but has significant numbers of overseas customers and has its own offices in Shanghai, China and Dresden, Germany.
Partners Nick Burt and Adrian Seagers worked on the transaction with support from Stephanie Newman (Corporate), Julia Harlock and Charmaine Rolfe (Commercial Property), Olivia Toulson (Employment) and Robbie Watson (Tax).
