Rachel Astill

Rachel qualified as a Solicitor in 2003 and joined Birketts in January 2020. She is a Legal Director in our Corporate Team, based in the Ipswich office.
Prior to joining Birketts, Rachel studied law at Cambridge University and worked for a Magic Circle firm in both their London and Paris offices. She therefore has extensive corporate and commercial experience, including public company work. Rachel has particular experience working in the manufacturing sector in an international environment, having also worked as Senior Counsel at the European headquarters of a NYSE listed company based in Brussels.
Most recently Rachel has gained experience advising regional businesses working for a regional firm in Essex. Rachel advises on a full range of legal matters, including mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, group restructurings, general company law issues, and commercial contracts.
