Leading law firm Birketts has advised EMG Motor Group (EMG) on its purchase of Murketts motor dealership for an undisclosed sum.
EMG has 11 dealerships across East Anglia, selling new and used cars as licensed dealerships for Kia, Mazda, MG and Nissan, as well as services for Citroen, Ford, Hyundai and Mitsubishi. Over the last 25 years, EMG has built a reputation for exceptional levels of customer service and in the region, and has most recently seen their hard work recognised as winners of the 2021 Autotrader Retailer Award for Customer Experience.
Partners Ed Savory (Corporate) and Melissa Loucas (Commercial Property) led the Birketts team, with support from Partner Karl Pocock (Tax), Senior Associate Andrew Ridout (Commercial Property), Senior Associate Victoria Pollington (Residential Property), Solicitors Sam Varney and Macauley Alsford (Corporate), Solicitor Ben Lewins (Employment) and Trainee Solicitor Maisie Lee (Corporate).
With locations in Cambridge, Huntingdon, Royston, Stapleford and Alconbury, Murketts has almost 20 years’ experience selling and repairing used cars. The network of garages are also Vauxhall-authorised repairers.
