Annalise joined Birketts in June 2019. She is a Senior Associate in our Commercial Real Estate Team.

After obtaining a law degree from the University of Warwick, Annalise worked as a commercial property Paralegal whilst completing the Legal Practice Course at BPP Law School in 2015/16. Having obtained a distinction on the Legal Practice Course, Annalise trained as a Solicitor at a local law firm and qualified in 2018. 

Annalise deals with all aspects of commercial property work, including:

  • Freehold and leasehold acquisitions and disposals
  • Leasehold/Asset management
  • The grant of Leases, Licences, Tenancies
  • Deeds of Variation and Deeds of Surrender
  • Property finance 
  • Loanbacks/Debentures
  • Acting in a checking capacity only on the purchase of commercial property by a SIPP
  • Acquisition by pension schemes by way of an in specie contribution or transfer. 

Annalise primarily acts for some of the UK’s leading SIPP (self-invested personal pension) and SSAS (small self-administered scheme) providers and forms part of the specialist SIPPs Team at Birketts who have knowledge and a detailed understanding of investment property. The SIPPs Team have established practical working relationships which ensures that they provide an efficient and cost-effective service, allowing each transaction to proceed as smoothly as possible. When required, the team work closely with the property litigation and construction departments at Birketts who are able to provide their advice and expertise in the course of a transaction. 

Annalise is experienced in acting for a wide range of clients, whether these be pension funds, individuals or companies. Annalise has acted for client’s on high value investment properties and subsequent asset management work. 

Annalise is based in our Ipswich office.

Annalise enjoys giving back to the community and was a volunteer at the Suffolk Law Advice Centre for over two years. She also volunteered at a drug addiction clinic in Zanzibar in Tanzania for two weeks during university.
