Edward’s experience includes:

  • advising on both the sale and purchase of farms;
  • advising on agricultural tenancies;
  • agricultural banking and finance, acting for both landowners and banks; and
  • acting for landowners on more general estate management, such as the registration of land and granting easements to utilities companies.

Edward has also dealt with a number of renewable energy projects, including wind, solar and anaerobic digestion plants, acting for both landowners and developers.

Edward is based at our Norwich office.

Other Information

Before joining Birketts, Edward studied Law at the University of East Anglia and the Legal Practice Course at the Nottingham Law School.

He has been involved in agriculture for most of his life, growing up in the Lincolnshire Fens working in his family’s agricultural machinery business and spending time on his grandfather and uncle’s farms.

On qualification at Birketts, in order to increase his livestock experience, Edward went to work on a pig farm for a week.

Edward is qualified as a Fellow of the Agricultural Law Association.
