Rebecca joined Birketts in March 2021 and is an Associate within the Regulatory and Corporate Defence Team.
Having been admitted as a Solicitor in September 2003 she went on to gain her Higher Rights Advocate qualification in 2009. Rebecca is an accomplished advocate who brings a wealth of knowledge and experience having practised criminal law for in excess of 15 years representing clients at the police station and in the Magistrates’ and Crown Court. Throughout her career she has worked at respected regional firms, including being on a firm’s board of directors.
Rebecca has experience in dealing with Prosecutions by a number of public bodies, such as the Local Authority and Health and Safety Executive. In addition Rebecca is part of Birketts licensing team representing clients on all types of licensing matters. Her work includes Premises Licence and Temporary Event Notice applications and delivering training and policy advice to local authorities on alcohol, taxi and gambling licensing.
Rebecca advises and represents clients on a broad spectrum of regulatory and criminal defence matters, priding herself in delivering the highest level of client care. The combination of her knowledge and approachable and friendly manner puts clients at ease and instils confidence.
