Dwight Patten

Dwight Patten is a Partner in our commercial real estate team, based in the Cambridge office.

Dwight has over 25 years of experience in a range of sectors. He specialises in acting for higher education and other educational institutions, local authorities and charities. Having been seconded on multiple occasions to large regional universities, Dwight possesses a keen understanding of the key drivers of such organisations and the regulatory frameworks in which they operate. Dwight is the property lead in Birketts’ Education Sector Team.

Dwight and his team also have an extensive corporate support and corporate occupier practice in the Cambridge area and wider eastern region, often advising on strategic relocations and fit-outs of existing or new build premises and also advising on key property issues in the context of corporate acquisitions and disposals. He possesses a well-honed ability to focus on the issues that will genuinely be relevant to the client’s aims and outcomes and tailor a successful strategy with those issues and the client’s time-scale firmly in mind.

Dwight also advises landowners in relation to strategic promotion and option agreements, including the internationally recognised Cambridge Biomedical Campus.
