Hanna Head
Hanna Head is a CILEX Lawyer who qualified in September 2025 and obtained her practice rights in civil litigation in March 2026. Hanna joined Birketts in July 2022 in the administrative and public law disputes team, having previously worked at a city law firm.
Hanna covers the whole range of team work including judicial review matters, procurement disputes, Equality Act disputes, dealing with vexatious and persistent complainants especially for Local Authorities and has a particular emphasis on education disputes and student issues for state and independent schools, universities and for Oxbridge colleges.
In education matters, Hanna has assisted schools and Local Authorities in Special Educational Needs and Disability Tribunal appeals and in disability discrimination claims. Hanna also advises a number of schools and colleges on their policies and procedures to ensure that they are compliant with statutory requirements, Government guidance and industry best practice, particularly in respect of admissions and exclusions. Hanna has also advised parents in relation to their rights in respect of EHC Plans and how they can be enforced.
