James qualified as a Solicitor in 2023, specialising in Dispute Resolution.
Since qualifying, James has gained considerable experience in resolving commercial disputes, representing a diverse range of clients from individuals to large businesses. With a keen understanding of the litigation process, James is adept at navigating disputes both in and out of court, always aiming to achieve efficient and cost-effective solutions.
During James’ training, he completed seats in Property Litigation, Private Client, and Corporate law, building a strong foundation across those legal disciplines. In Property Litigation, James dealt with landlord and tenant disputes, boundary issues, and other contentious property matters. This experience honed his ability to handle detailed and often technical legal challenges. In the Private Client seat, James worked closely with individuals on matters such as estate planning, wills, and trusts, developing a client-focused approach. His Corporate seat provided valuable insight into company law, mergers and acquisitions, and corporate governance, allowing James to understand the broader business context of many disputes.
This well-rounded training background allows James to approach commercial litigation with a broad perspective, understanding the complex legal and practical issues that clients face. James is committed to achieving the best possible outcomes for clients, whether through negotiation, mediation, or litigation.
Recent work highlights
Successfully appealing, in full, the maximum fine leviable by Companies House against a household stationery brand for purported breaches of the Economic Crime (Transparency and Enforcement) Act 2022.
