Jamie joined Birketts in August 2022 from a firm in the City, having trained and worked there for over 16 years. Jamie is a Legal Director in our commercial real estate team.
Jamie is a highly experienced real estate lawyer, dealing with all aspects of commercial property including landlord and tenant work, asset management, disposals and acquisitions (on both a single-site and portfolio basis) and property finance.
Jamie specialises in the hospitality and leisure industry (particularly health and fitness-related operators), having acted for national pub chains, leisure operators and investors for a number of years. Jamie also acts for a number of banks and borrowers in relation to high-value real estate finance transactions.

Leading on a £35 million refinance for a national pub chain on the refinance of over 50 pubs and restaurants.
Leading the real estate aspects on the acquisition of Gymbox by Urban Gym Group.
Acting for a national five-a-side football chain in relation to its property portfolio.
Acting on a £55 million refinance for a major house-builder.
Acting for a national high street clothing retailer in the negotiation of over 50 leases in both high street and shopping centre locations.
