
Lucy is currently sitting with the Employment Team in Norwich where she assists with both contentious and non-contentious matters for employers and employees.
Lucy supports the team’s tribunal work and more generalist advisory work, covering employment contracts, policies and procedures, settlement agreements, disciplinary and grievance issues, and redundancy.
Lucy’s second seat was with the Corporate Team in Ipswich where she assisted the team on a range of corporate matters, including disposals and acquisitions, re-organisations, and general company law matters.
Lucy’s first seat was in the Litigation & Dispute Resolution Team. She assisted the team in advising clients on a wide range of disputes such as professional negligence claims, breach of contract claims and debt recovery.
Prior to commencing her training contract with the firm in September 2023, Lucy joined the firm in July 2022 as a Paralegal in our Real Estate Finance Team, part of the wider Commercial Property Team based in our Norwich office. She managed an array of transactional matters in respect of secured lending. Such transactions included the refinance or purchase of commercial, semi-commercial or Buy to Let properties.
Experience & education
Prior to joining Birketts, Lucy studied a degree in LLB Law at The University of East Anglia, graduating in 2021 with a First Class Degree with Honours and obtained a Distinction in the integrated maters Legal Practice Course from The University of Law in 2022.
