Nick joined Birketts in 2006 and is a Partner in our Corporate Team. He qualified as a Solicitor in September 2006.
Nick deals with a wide range of transactions with a particular focus on corporate finance and advises on acquisitions and disposals, including international transactions. He has also acted for a number of private equity and venture capital clients on their investments and has acted for portfolio companies. Nick has experience advising on banking transactions, group reorganisations and corporate governance matters as well as commercial arrangements, such as software development, licensing and outsourcing.
Nick is based at our Cambridge office.
Nick graduated from the University of Durham with a Masters degree in Engineering and had a spell in industry working for part of the BAE Systems group before he trained as a lawyer.
Nick is listed as ‘Up and Coming’ by Chambers [UK 2022]. Clients in this edition note “Nick is a good working partner who is very diligent and considers all risks but remains commercial”. The previous edition notes “He has been very attentive and responsive. He has a good understanding of our business, our requirements and what our priorities are.” In an earlier edition clients were impressed by his “knowledge, speed of response and his practical approach to getting the deal agreed and completed”.
