Birketts automotive team has advised Gates Group Limited on the acquisition of the business and assets of John Pease Peugeot via an asset sale.
Gates Group Limited is renowned across the Greater London, Essex and Hertfordshire region for its trust, quality and outstanding service in providing vehicles servicing and customer care in the new and used vehicles industry. Beyond sales, it also provides comprehensive aftersales solutions, including servicing, repairs, MOTs and manufacturer-approved parts.
The acquisition of the business in Braintree by Gates Group will continue to build on the existing dealership’s foundations while incorporating the legacy of excellence – a future of innovation motto synonymous with its new ownership.
The Birketts team was led by Emma Bysouth (Legal Director and Head of Automotive, Corporate) and Sam Varney (Associate, Corporate), with support from Ieva Grakulskyte (Graduate Solicitor Apprentice, Corporate), Stacy Aspden (Legal Director, Commercial Real Estate), Tiah Coles (Associate, Commercial Real Estate), Rebecca Hughes (Associate, Employment), and Robbie Watson (Senior Associate, Corporate Tax).
