UK Top 50 law firm Birketts has advised Andy Gibbons on the sale of his business, Claret Civil Engineering Ltd, to Network Plus.

The company specialises in delivering civil engineering services across water, gas, and electricity networks, with a focus on safety, efficiency, and sustainable practices. Over the years, Claret has established long-term relationships with major utility providers and local authorities, positioning itself as a trusted partner in maintaining and upgrading essential infrastructure across the UK.
Led by Alex Forwood, Partner in the corporate team, Birketts advised on all legal aspects of the transaction, liaising with external advisers on finance and tax matters, and managing the legal process through to a successful completion.
