Adam is a Senior Associate in our Dispute Resolution Team. He qualified as a Solicitor in September 2009 and has over a decade of experience in advising corporate, charitable, and private clients on a wide range of contentious matters in both the County and High Courts. Adam is a strong advocate of the use of mediation in facilitating settlement where appropriate, and is also well versed in other forms of Alternative Dispute Resolution, including expert determination.
Adam’s work includes advising on contract claims, shareholder and director disputes, breaches of restrictive covenants and professional negligence claims. Recent cases include:
- negotiating successful settlement of a £2.5m+ multi-party professional negligence dispute (acting for corporate defendant);
- securing an injunction preventing a former employee of a local family-run business from working in contravention of their restrictive covenants;
- defending a claim for breach of warranty following a business sale, resulting in the claim being withdrawn in its entirety;
- obtaining favourable settlement in a ‘loss of chance’ professional negligence claim against a firm of solicitors (acting for individual claimant).
Adam also advises clients in relation to contentious trusts and probate claims, including claims under the Inheritance (Provision for Family and Dependants) Act 1975, challenges to the validity of Wills on grounds of undue influence, capacity and lack of knowledge and approval and breaches of Trustees’ duties.
Adam is based at our Norwich office.
