
Abbie is a Solicitor in our Employment Team, based in our London office.
She works alongside Sarah Bull, International Employment lead at the firm.
Abbie handles a wide range of employment issues, both contentious and non-contentious, including:
- Defending and pursuing claims in employment litigation, covering unfair dismissal, discrimination and wage claims.
- Reviewing and drafting employment contracts and policies for both national and international businesses.
- Managing employee severance, including senior roles.
- Advising on new and proposed employment legislation.
- Collaborating with the Corporate Team on transactions, providing advice on mergers and acquisitions for both share and asset sales (the latter involving TUPE).
- Overseeing performance management, long-term sickness absence and disciplinary and grievance procedures from small to large organisations.
- Advising on the complexities of employing individuals in the UK, including the use of employers of record for international businesses.
Abbie volunteers at the East Greenwich Legal Advice Centre monthly, providing employment advice.
Recent work highlights
Successfully advised and negotiated a significantly enhanced settlement agreement for an employee, providing an alternative to redundancy.
Provided expert advice to an employer on a complex Employment Tribunal claim involving international jurisdiction, in collaboration with a barrister.
Efficiently transformed a German contract to comply with UK law, ensuring consistency in terms within a tight deadline.
