Having qualified in March 2012 Laura joined Birketts in September 2018 as a Senior Associate and is a member of our Corporate Team and Employee Incentives Team.
Laura specialises in advising on the sale of businesses to employee ownership trusts (EOT).
Laura also advises on a full range of corporate matters, including mergers and acquisitions, management buy-outs, group restructurings and general company law issues.
Laura is a member of the Family Business Team and has significant experience advising family owner-managed businesses with all the particular challenges that face this unique sector, including succession planning, sales and acquisitions, governance issues, disputes, and exits.
Laura also forms part of the Food and Beverages Sector Team. Laura works with many of the firm’s food and beverages clients on a variety of mergers and acquisitions, corporate re-organisations or schemes to incentivise employees. Laura comes from a farming family and is well connected and knowledgeable within the farming and food production community.
