Paul has over 20 years’ experience advising across the built environment sector.

He is a Partner in our Commercial Real Estate Team.

He joined Birketts in 2018 having previously worked at a leading City firm. Paul is known for being responsive and commercial – a calm negotiator who gets things done.

Paul’s practice is broad, advising landlords, tenants, investors, residential and commercial developers and funders. In particular, he has expertise acting for institutional investors on higher-end acquisitions and pro-active asset management programmes across portfolios.

On the development side Paul has worked on long term redevelopments of individual buildings as well as much wider schemes for residential and commercial development, drawing in planning and construction expertise as appropriate. He has a depth of experience in strategic land and promotion agreements, options and overage agreements, acting for a number of our housebuilder clients. More recently he has been heavily involved advising on the land elements of a nationally significant infrastructure project.
