Stephanie Newman

Stephanie is a Senior Associate in our Cambridge office and is a member of our Corporate Finance Team.

She joined Birketts in 2016 after qualifying in 2015.

Stephanie specialises in tax-driven reorganisations, corporate restructuring and corporate finance matters, regularly advising clients on reorganisations, acquisitions and mergers, both domestic and cross-border and often involving large corporate groups. Stephanie regularly advises clients on corporate governance matters and family investment companies.

Stephanie is also one of our specialist solicitors in our Equine Team, advising clients on matters such as the sale and purchase of their equestrian businesses, the restructuring of equestrian businesses and governance matters, including shareholders’ agreements and partnership’ agreements.

Experience & education

Before joining Birketts, Stephanie trained with a regional law firm, she also studied Law and completed her Masters in European Union Law and International Trade. She spent the majority of her University education studying subjects that geared towards commercial and corporate law, specifically focusing on the fields of company law, commercial law, intellectual property law, competition law, and banking law.
