20 April 2023
Birketts’ Corporate Team has advised the shareholders of existing client, EPG Energy Limited, trading as EnDCo (EnDCo), on the successful sale of the company to Erova Energy (Erova), an energy trading company with offices in Dublin, London and Amsterdam.
Founded in 2000, EnDCo has established itself as a reputable electricity provider of energy services for a range of blue chip organisations offering direct access to the whole sale electricity market on a transparent and independent basis.
The transaction enables Erova to continue its expansion into the green energy market to support its goal to work to support a Net Zero energy target. By acquiring EnDCo, Erova will combine EnDCo’s core metering and trading systems with Erova’s products, services and financial resources to explore new commercial opportunities, particularly in the UK energy market.
Corporate Legal Director, Caroline Nicholls, led the transaction with support from Lisa Hayward (Employee Incentives), Robbie Watson (Tax), Alex Price (Corporate), Faye Power (Corporate) and Olivia Sherman (Corporate).
The EnDCo team were supported by James Cooper and Cameron Robertson of FRP Advisory, who conducted the initial strategic review and subsequently were appointed to find a buyer.
Commenting on the acquisition Caroline Nicholls said: “Birketts have worked with EnDCo for a number of years and are delighted to have advised the EnDCo shareholders on their sale to Erova and to have achieved a successful outcome for all parties involved. I look forward to seeing EnDCo continue to grow with Erova’s backing.”
Les Abbie, CEO at EnDCo said: “I am excited by the growth potential of teaming up with Erova. We will be able to move into new areas of the market and expand our customer base while continuing to operate the same business model. We would like to thank Birketts for their continued advice and support through the sale process ensuring its successful conclusion.”
