Jeremy Stanton

Jeremy joined Birketts in January 2019 and is based in Cambridge. He is a Partner in the Agriculture and Estates Team.
Drawing on his farming background and well over 20 years practicing land law, both commercial property and agricultural, Jeremy provides pragmatic, commercial advice to a wide range of landowner clients, whether buying or selling land, letting farms and renewable energy sites, promoting development land, diversifying, charging, and farming land.
Jeremy retains a keen interest in agricultural and rural matters and is a member of the Agricultural Law Association.
Jeremy qualified as Solicitor in September 1999.
Areas of particular expertise and interest:
Renewable and Clean Energy – Battery storage BESS and Solar. Jeremy chairs the Birketts Clean Energy Team
Strategic Land – Options, Promotion Agreements, and Landowner agreements
Landed Estates and Farmers – Advising land based rural businesses, usually with multiple income sources
Bio Diversity Net Gain – BNG Options, Leases and Management agreements
Jeremy retains a keen interest in agricultural and rural matters and is a member of the Agricultural Law Association.
Outside of work he is a member of West Norfolk Cricket Club, the Mavericks Cricket Club, Newmarket Real Tennis Club, is a keen supporter of Nottinghamshire Cricket Club, Nottingham RFC and West Bridgford RFC. He enjoys a game of tennis and finding parts of a golf course others do not normally see.
