Birketts advises on sale of telecoms group

Top 100 law firm Birketts has advised the shareholders of Magdalene, a Cambridgeshire-based telecoms infrastructure services provider, on its sale to M Group Services. The financial details of the transaction were not disclosed.
Headquartered in St Ives, Magdalene is a specialist provider of design, build, procurement, installation, commissioning, maintenance and repair support services to telecommunications carriers, equipment sellers and private businesses in the UK and Ireland.
With a turnover of £1bn, M Group Services is a leading provider of services to the regulated infrastructure markets in the UK, including utilities, transport, telecom, and data capture. The company operates through its subsidiaries that include Morrison Utility Services, Morrison Data Services, Dyer & Butler and M Group Services Plant & Fleet Solutions.
Birketts advised the shareholders on all legal matters with Mark Henry, Partner in Birketts’ Corporate Team, leading on the transaction, assisted by Emma Bysouth (Corporate), Karl Pocock (Tax), Keith Andrews (Property) and Jenny Leeder (Employment).
