Birketts has appointed Emily O’Donnell as a Senior Associate in its award-winning Private Client Team.
Noted as one of the leading regional firms for advice on a range of private client issues including agricultural and family matters, private property and tax planning, Emily brings to Birketts a wealth of experience, especially with regard to complex succession planning matters including trust work and tax planning for farming and landed families. Emily specialises in matters relating to inheritance tax mitigation, particularly agricultural, business and heritage property tax reliefs and she has acted for a range of clients including international families, trustees and private banks, as well as landed estate owners.
Emily studied Classics at the University of Cambridge. Prior to joining Birketts, Emily qualified as a solicitor with a City firm before joining the Landed Estates Team for a large national law firm, where she advised on inheritance tax mitigation and capital gains tax planning.

Emily is part of Birketts’ Norwich team but will assist colleagues across the Cambridge, Chelmsford, Ipswich and London offices.
