Amanda joined Birketts in July 2017. She is a Legal Director in our Commercial Real Estate Team.
Advising on a broad range of commercial real estate transactions, she represents a variety of clients including local government, healthcare, charities, and private investors. Her work includes an emphasis on the public sector, including education establishments (particularly FE) and local government investment companies. Amanda was awarded a distinction in the Local Government Law and Practice Law Society diploma in 2022 in recognition of her knowledge and expertise in this field and supporting sector clients.
Her experience includes high value and/or complex landlord and tenant transactions and she extensive knowledge of the Waste and Recycling and Logistics sectors.
Amanda also provides regular support and advice to banking institutions in relation to large scale property financing.
Having gained a LLM. Masters in Legal Practice in 2013, Amanda has also held the position of President of the Suffolk and Essex Law Society 2023-2024, is a former Trustee of the Children’s Endeavour Trust and holds the position of Visiting Senior Teaching Fellow in Law at the University of Suffolk. Amanda is based in our Ipswich office.
