Maisie is a Solicitor in the Banking and Finance Team at Birketts.
She advises lenders and borrowers on various banking and finance transactions, including leveraged finance transactions, acquisition finance transactions, real estate finance transactions and general corporate lending.
She acts for a range of clients across different industry sectors, including banks and other financial institutions (including alternative lenders), private equity-backed businesses, registered companies and individuals.
As a member of the Banking and Green Finance Team, which forms part of the wider Natural Capital Sector Team, Maisie has developed an understanding of the push towards a greener economy and the associated pressures on both borrowers and lenders to demonstrate tangible, measurable green credentials.
Recent work highlights
Advised English subsidiaries in respect of their accession into a ~£75m syndicated term and revolving facilities agreement and English security.
Advised pan-European real estate investment fund on various asset substitutions into the security net of an existing ~£40m secured term loan facility.
Advised London-based real estate investment group on its entry into a ~£26m term loan facility to refinance existing facilities and acquire new investment properties, followed by a security restructure and RCF facility extension to fund development works.
